How I Started Vibes Pearled Candles
Candles are meant to bring warmth and relaxation, but for me, they became a wake-up call.
As a U.S. Army veteran, I’ve dealt with a lot of challenges, but nothing prepared me for the night a candle at my friend’s home turned into a disaster. Within minutes, a small flame spread, swallowing the living room and eventually the entire house. By the time firefighters arrived, there was nothing left. Just ashes where a home full of memories once stood.
Watching my friend lose everything made me stop and think. How could something as simple as a candle, a thing we use for comfort, be so risky? Why are traditional candles still made with flammable, toxic materials that put us in danger? I knew there had to be a better way. So, I decided to find it.
A Better Way To Burn
I started researching everything about candles. Their ingredients, their burn times, and most importantly, their safety risks. It didn’t take long to realize the industry hadn’t changed much in decades. Most candles still use paraffin wax, which releases harmful toxins, and standard wicks that could burn unevenly and unpredictably.
That’s when the idea for Vibes Pearled Candle was born. I wanted to create a candle that wasn’t just beautiful but also safe, sustainable, and easy to use. After months of testing and refining, I finally landed on something that checked all the boxes:

I never expected to go from military service to candle-making, but life has a funny way of pushing you toward your purpose. And if my journey can help even one family avoid the devastation my friend experienced, then it’s all been worth it.
